100th Anniversary Kick-Off at KTA Hike Weekend
Keystone Trails Association

Friday, April 17 thru Sunday, April 19, 2015

We kicked off our 100th Anniversary Celebration by hosting Keystone Trails Association's Spring Hiking Meeting at Camp Swatara in Bethel, PA. Approximately 130 KTA members and area hikers came together for the weekend to explore Blue Mountain inside and out (including a private tour of closed-down Onyx Cave!) with hike leaders from BMECC. This was one of KTA’s best hiking weekends yet, with sunny, 80° weather; evening campfire entertainment by the "Blue Blazes" folk group; a spirited hoedown; and an informative presentation about regional threats to hiking trails by Karen Lutz, Appalachian Trail Conservancy–Mid Atlantic Region! Thanks to everyone who attended. We hope to see you back at KTA's "Prowl the Sproul" hiking weekend in July!

Geetin' down at the hoedown!
